Mount Kelly School Hong Kong is a branch of Mount Kelly, a famous British aristocratic school in Hong Kong.

In 2016, he planned to buy land in Tuen Mun to build a school. After the failure, disputes continued. In 2021, 97 employees were in arrears with MPF contributions, and more than 60 teaching staff filed lawsuits for unpaid wages. The bond was returned, the affiliated company was ordered to be liquidated, and there was a family dispute between the boss behind the scenes, and the brothers broke up and blamed each other.

"Hong Kong 01" revealed the inside story of Kelly Hill's messy accounts for three consecutive episodes.

All kinds of controversies are directed at Wang Baixian, the founder of Hong Kong Kelly Hill School.

He took the initiative to accept the interview, but many of his statements were inconsistent. The reporter even questioned him on the spot about how he had been imprisoned for fraud. He changed his words many times in the face of the camera.

The reporter Li Yinglin, who is mainly responsible for the report, said that such a serious problem of random relief in private schools is unimaginable for teachers, and it also shows that the current private schools have insufficient supervision of debt issuance and financial status.

During the interview process, the reporter has to find clues and evidence from the fragmentary clips, and piece together the whole picture of the incident. In the process of verifying and interviewing, the reporter sometimes has to wrestle with the interviewee.

She thanked the staff, parents and related parties who had interviewed, but regretted that the parents' bond and the staff's arrears of wages had not been fully resolved. She hoped that the relevant departments could actively provide them with assistance.

Food Truck | Three remaining business operators in the fifth year of the pilot plan: it seems to be lost naturally

Reporter: Deng Jiaqi Photography: Lin Songhua, Yang Kaili Editing: Xiao Kunxiang

The two-year food truck pilot program was launched in 2017 and was extended for two years. Due to social events and the impact of the epidemic, the government decided in October 2020 and extended it to February 2, 2022.

After many years, the first 15 food trucks will remain in 12 by 2021. Many of them are no longer in operation. Some food truck venues that can be parked have also been closed due to the epidemic, including Disneyland, Ocean Park and Salisbury in Tsim Sha Tsui. garden etc.

The reporter presented the relevant information and data of the plan with scenes, props and charts, including the time line of the plan, the food truck revenue, the operating site and related funding, etc., and sorted out the context of the food truck's "decline" before it officially started. Leo Choi, a businessman and long-term resident operator in the West Kowloon Cultural District, a new food truck stronghold, learned his thoughts on the plan.

The reporter in charge, Deng Jiaqi, said that the government was "ambitious" when it launched the pilot program. Unfortunately, after five years, the operators quit the scene one after another, and the government failed to find a way for the food trucks.

What is even more regrettable is that when the remaining "survivors" found a suitable operating point, the business began to emerge, but the plan was announced to end.

The report was published in February last year, but by the end of 2021, the Commerce and Economic Affairs Bureau finally decided that the plan will end in June 2022 and all licenses will be withdrawn.
