The Economic-Financial Police Unit of the Gdf of Genoa is carrying out some searches and acquisitions of documents ordered by the Genoese prosecutor against seven professors of the University of Genoa, investigated in various capacities for the crimes of disturbed freedom in the procedure for choosing the contractor , disturbed freedom of enchantments, trafficking of illicit influences, revelation and use of office secrets in relation to the conduct of public selections for the assignment of teaching and research grants at the Department of Law of the Genoese university.
The selective procedures object of the investigators' attention concern research grants in Tax Law, in Constitutional Law and in Institutions of Public Law, a post as a researcher and an associate professor of Constitutional Law.
"In relation to these procedures - reads the note issued by the public prosecutor - provisions are underway for the presentation of deeds and documents as well as computer acquisitions at the administrative offices and the data processing center of the University".

Calls designed to measure the candidate predestined to win the research grant or the chair, modulating the requirements on the curriculum of the one who would later turn out to be the winner and defining the research project starting from the studies of the chosen one.
Not only that, in some cases the investigators of the Guardia di Finanza discovered that the candidate's tutor had been included in the commission to judge the competition, in other cases colleagues on whom they can rely to have judgments without surprises.
There are a total of 12 people investigated by the Genoa prosecutor for rigged competitions at the Department of Law of the University of Genoa: at least 11 disputed episodes and 7 professors from the Genoese university investigated.
