Purists will no doubt see a twist in history.
To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the 911 Carrera 2.7 RS, certainly the most emblematic model of the 911 lineage, Porsche is releasing an anniversary version developed, not from the 911 GT3 Touring (aspirated 4-litre flat six), but from the 911 Turbo.
One can imagine that this decision must have posed a matter of conscience within the offices of the manufacturer, but the honor is safe: the 1,250 copies of this limited series, available from July, abandon the generous biplane fin of the 992 Turbo to reconnect with the famous “duck tail” of its predecessor.

Like the bonnet and the roof, it is made of carbon fiber and plastic.
And as we don't trifle with the past in Zuffenhausen, the second 911 Sport Classic, the first dating back to 2009, loses its front-wheel drive.
The engineers judged that the rear wheels would be enough to pass on the bitumen the 550 hp of the flat-6 biturbo of 3.7 l deflated with 30 hp.
Reviving driving sensations of yesteryear, this model is equipped with a 7-speed manual gearbox.
The chassis uses the principle of the Turbo, namely PASM controlled damping including a sports chassis lowered by 10 mm.
A fabric with a houndstooth pattern
Porsche
Second opus in the series of four models of the Heritage program initiated in 2020 with a 911 Targa 4S, the Sport Classic reinterprets the design in vogue during the 1960s and 1970s. This is how the houndstooth fabric reappeared in the center of the tan leather seats.
The sixties spirit also blows through the green dials, the aluminum applications on the dashboard and the Porsche Design watch offered as an option.
The colors remain.
The Sport Classic ignores the typical decoration of the 2.7 RS to offer two matt grays, one black and two blues.
Question of time.
