A child's corpse was discovered in a residential building in Eberswalde, Brandenburg.
The public prosecutor's office in Frankfurt an der Oder is keeping a low profile for tactical reasons.
Eberswalde - On Tuesday evening (April 26) the body of an infant was found in a residential building in Eberswalde (Brandenburg).
As Ricarda Böhme, spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office in Frankfurt an der Oder, announced at the request of the dpa, a property management employee had discovered the lifeless body of the baby in the hallway.
Further information about the cruel incident could not be made for investigative tactical reasons, but the public prosecutor announced that an autopsy should clarify the age of the child.
In addition, the post-mortem examination must examine the extent to which the baby may have died from external influences, or whether the infant was stillborn.
The pathological examination could also provide the time of death and indications of the nearer, potential course of the crime.
Details and motives of what happened are still unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
A child and his mother also died in Hesse on Tuesday.
