The government encircled the Ziwei Building in Choi Hung Estate, Wong Tai Sin from 4:30 pm yesterday, and completed the operation at about 8 am so far.
During the siege period, about 1,100 people were tested, of which 4 positive cases and 2 cases with indeterminate test results were found.
In addition, the government also sent staff to visit about 730 households in Ziwei Building. Among them, 151 households were not answered during the process. The government will take measures to follow up.
The government reiterates that it will strictly enforce the law. Any person who fails to produce a text message of the test result to prove that the compulsory test is a violation of the compulsory test announcement will be subject to a fixed fine of $10,000 and will receive a compulsory test order requiring the person to specify be tested during the period.
Failure to comply with a Mandatory Testing Order or a Restriction and Testing Declaration commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $50,000 and imprisonment for six months.
