A fatal accident occurred on the B 76 near Haffkrug during the night.
Three young people die.
Another is in mortal danger.

Haffkrug (Schleswig-Holstein) – On Friday, April 29, 2022, at around 1:50 a.m., a driver discovered the enormous debris field on federal highway 76 just before the Eutin junction in Schleswig-Holstein by chance.
In front of him is a debris field that extends to around 300 meters.

Serious accident B76: three young people die, others in mortal danger - police are looking for witnesses
An Audi that had suddenly veered off the road for reasons that were unclear initially crashed into a tree at great speed.
The strong impact ripped the car in two.
Part of the Audi got stuck around a tree.
The second part lands about 50 meters further in a side ditch.
When the volunteer fire department arrived on site, the rescuers faced a terrible scenario.
The occupants were torn from the vehicle by the impact.
Any help came too late for three young people.
They died on the spot.
A funeral home removed the bodies of the two 17- and 19-year-old men and the body of the 17-year-old woman.
A fourth occupant, an 18-year-old man, is in critical condition.
The main road was completely closed for 4 hours.

Those involved in the accident, who drove the B26 coming from Eutin, all come from East Holstein.
An expert from DEKRA is now investigating exactly how the accident happened.
However, due to a long skid mark, the police are currently assuming that excessive speed could be the cause of the accident.
The federal highway 76 had to be completely closed for around four hours.
The Lübeck police are now looking for witnesses who may be able to say something about the accident.
