Today, the German Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassador of the Turkish regime in Berlin, against the background of the ruling issued against Osman Kavala, a prominent opponent of the Turkish regime's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"We summoned the Turkish ambassador to the Foreign Ministry today and once again clarified the government's position on the issue," Deutsche Welle quoted a ministry spokesman as saying, adding that "other countries in the European Union will act in the same way."
Last Monday, the Turkish regime's judiciary sentenced the opponent, Osman Kavala, to life imprisonment without the possibility of reducing the sentence, and convicted him for attempting to overthrow the government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
It is noteworthy that the Erdogan regime launched hysterical and arbitrary repression campaigns against its opponents and opponents inside the country, in which tens of thousands of civilian and military people were arrested, and hundreds of thousands were dismissed from public service after the failed coup attempt against it in 2016.
