The pilot decides to turn back.
Frankfurt – A Lufthansa machine on the way to Frankfurt Airport had to turn back because the Boeing 747-8 had problems with the toilets.
A passenger told the Aviation Herald portal.
Even before departure from Chicago, the captain said that there were "minor problems with the toilets".
The problems were probably more serious than expected.
So the plane, registered LH-431, turned back to Chicago about two and a half hours after takeoff from airspace over Canada.
Only two toilets were still working – with a passenger capacity of 364 people.

According to the Aviation Herald, there were other problems on board on the return flight: Some of the seats are said to have been no longer adjustable.
Also, a light flickered in the back of the cabin and the entertainment system went haywire.
The landing at Chicago Airport went smoothly.
The machine remained on the ground there for around 19 hours before being returned to Frankfurt Airport.
The plane stood there again for 39 hours before it took off again.
There was recently an incident on a Lufthansa plane at Frankfurt Airport.
The police threw a head of government out of a plane who probably did not want to wear a mask during the flight to the USA.
