On the morning of April 29, 2022, two ATMs were blown up in Fleestedt and Dassendorf.
Both perpetrators fled in the same car.
Dassendorf – In the recent past, ATMs in the Hamburg area have been repeatedly blown up.
Early on Friday morning, April 29, 2022, previously unknown perpetrators struck twice in a row in northern Germany.
Around 2:30 a.m. residents of a savings bank in Fleestedt (Seevetal) heard a loud bang and alerted the police.
When the police arrive at the ATM on Winsener Landstrasse, dozens of bills fly across the parking lot.
An ATM was blown up inside the building.
During the night, defused police and forensics arrived.
According to the current state of knowledge, a search for the perpetrators on the nearby Autobahn 7 and in Harburg was unsuccessful.

Almost two and a half hours later there was another bang.
This time in Dassendorf, about 45 kilometers away to the east of Hamburg.
The previously unknown perpetrators blew up the Sparkasse ATM there.
The procedure is the same as in Fleestedt.
The perpetrators drill open the machine, insert a hose into the inside of the machine and direct explosive gas into the machine.
The air-gas mixture is then ignited.

The second case is particularly explosive: the bank's alarm system is said not to have been triggered.
A witness saw a black car - with no license plates - swerve from the bank's parking lot with squeaking tires and sped through a red light.
According to information from 24hamburg.de, when the bank's video recordings in Fleestedt were evaluated, an identical black car was seen at the time of the crime.
Whether it is actually the same perpetrators is now part of the investigation.
