A few months ago, the commission adopted the super-instigator, the released prisoner Ra'ed Salah, who calls himself "Sheikh al-Aqsa."
Salah is the leader of the "northern faction."
The Monitoring Committee gave him, ironically, the role of "peacemaker" and "conflict resolver."
Salah is not sitting idle.
He has already "returned to the crime scene" - the Temple Mount, around which he has incited for many years.
He recently visited there with members of the Monitoring Committee and met with senior Waqf officials, some of whom are under Hamas influence.
Together they set up a coordination mechanism on the subject of Jerusalem, the holy places of Islam and the "dangers of the Al-Aqsa Mosque."
The committee's visit did not contribute to the calm.
The sacred compound is bubbling.
The fire did not go out there.
For a week now, the PLO flag has been hanging on the Dome of the Rock. Two days ago, stones were thrown at the Western Wall and the Ophel Road, shouting in support of Muhammad Daf and the explosion of Kiryat Shmona.
