The government announced today (29th) that it has re-appointed Zhou Songgang as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Redevelopment Authority for a period of three years, effective on Labour Day next Sunday (1st May).
The Secretary for Development, Mr Wong Wai-lun, welcomes him to continue taking over the URA, and is confident that the URA will continue to promote urban renewal with innovation and forward-looking thinking.

According to the government, the Chief Executive has reappointed the former chairman of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Zhou Songgang, as the chairman of the URA board for a three-year term, effective next Sunday, in accordance with the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance.
In addition, the government also announced the appointment of four new non-official non-executive directors, including Chen Jiaju, Lai Huiwen, Lin Yu Jiahui and Yang Jianxia, to replace the outgoing Chen Jiapei, Huang Wujiehua, Huang Yijian, and Lu Guanhao.

The remaining eight non-official non-executive directors were re-appointed, including Zheng Yongshun, Cai Shulian, He Yongchang, Li Haoran, Luo Wanwen, Tang Baoshan, Tang Qishao and Huang Yuanshan.
Zhou Songgang said that he was deeply honored to be re-appointed.
