The authorities of the Kursk region in western Russia announced that a border crossing with Ukraine was bombed from the Ukrainian side today.
"Several mortar shells fired from the territory of Ukraine landed at the Krupets border crossing, without causing any casualties or material damage," the province's governor, Roman Starovit, said on his Telegram channel.
Starovit said that the Russian army and border guards immediately targeted the source of the attack with counter-fire.
Russian areas on the border with Ukraine are being bombed from the territory of this country.
Today, Russian air defenses intercepted a Ukrainian plane that tried to enter the airspace of the Russian Bryansk region, bordering Ukraine.
