The Latin Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Lattakia hosted this evening an Iftar banquet for cleaners, which ended with the distribution of food baskets in appreciation of their positive role in society.
Head of Lattakia City Council, Eng. Hussein Zingerli, indicated that the initiative carries a message of love and brotherhood among Syrians, which they conveyed throughout their history to the world.
In turn, the director of hygiene in the council, Ammar Al-Qusiri, indicated that the banquet that gathered about 100 cleaners reflects a view of appreciation for their efforts they make around the clock to serve the people of the city and maintain its cleanliness.
For his part, the organizer of the initiative, Bashar Bitar, considered that the cleaners deserve all the support and appreciation, and that the banquet and their breakfast in the church are a token of love to express our gratitude to them and their efforts.
While the head of the State and Municipalities Workers’ Syndicate, Fawaz Al-Kanj, pointed out that the cleaners deserve this attention, pointing out that this Ramadan meeting in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church is an expression of the love that unites the Syrians, which was the basis of Syria’s steadfastness and victory.
