Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Anchor Foundation, Amer Hassoun, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the Foundation distributed about 450 food baskets to the poorest and most needy families in a number of the city’s neighborhoods, in addition to sums of money, meals and bread to about 150 families.
Hassoun added, "The Corporation intends to distribute food baskets to a number of workers in emergency electricity workshops in As-Suwayda on the occasion of Labor Day, in appreciation of their efforts and dedication to their work."
The Foundation had implemented several initiatives during the past months, including supporting cancer patients, distributing oxygen cylinders, masks and nebulizers to Syrian Arab Red Crescent points in the villages of Al-Tha’la and Salim, distributing sterilizers to a number of schools and official institutions in As-Suwayda, in addition to distributing about 3,000 winter coats to school students. in a number of villages.
