The Nicaraguan government declared the office occupied by the organization of American states in Managua to be of public utility after expelling the organization from the country and withdrawing its own diplomats.
The Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, deplored the events and reported that the property was not owned by the organization, but rather was partially rented.
