Heavy rain prevailed today (Saturday) across the country, and will begin to break from noon, when light and humid air will reach the area.
A large fire broke out in the fire areas of BP Elyakim in the north; the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but the area was about 30 degrees, relatively low humidity, stormy weather with strong winds - conditions suitable for fires.
Following the fire, Road 672 between Elyakim and Dalit El Carmel was blocked to traffic. 11 firefighters from the Hof district and the northern district acted at the fire point alongside four firefighting planes that threw water towards the arena. After about 45 minutes, control of the fire front was achieved
. The Nature and Parks Authority warned visitors from congestion on Palmachim Beach and Beit Yanai Beach.
