Street robbery in Tsim Sha Tsui.
At about 1 am today (1st), a woman holding a paper bag containing 600,000 yuan in cash was suspected of having "exposed property" while passing through Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, and was found and followed by more than 10 non-Chinese men.
When she hurriedly walked to the junction of Nathan Road and Carnarvon Road, she was suddenly attacked by the group of non-Chinese men, and snatched a cash paper bag and an iPhone carrying 600,000 yuan in her hand. The thieves escaped after they succeeded.
Some police officers passed by the above site during patrol and found that someone had escaped and immediately went forward to intercept them. At the junction of Bixian Tao Road and Hanoi Road, they successfully intercepted 3 African-American men who were suspected to be related to the case. The three men were later taken back to the police station for investigation.
In the incident, the female victim was injured and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulancemen for treatment. The police are investigating the incident, but the lost property has not been recovered.
It is understood that the female victim entrusted 600,000 yuan to a friend earlier. Recently, because her grandson was ill, she retrieved the loan from her friend and used it to treat her grandson.
The female victim was robbed of 600,000 yuan in cash and an iPhone. She was injured and sent to hospital for treatment.
