Jeans in Piazza Castello in Turin to break the silence on violence against women.

It is the "Break the silence" initiative, to say no to violence and rape and no to "victim blaming", secondary victimization.

It was organized by the movement 'If not now when' which piled up jeans and dresses inspired by Pistoletto's "The Venus of rags" kept at the Castello di Rivoli.

The flash mob took place on the occasion of Denim Day, an anniversary created to protest against a sentence of the Supreme Court that acquitted a man of violence because the girl was wearing tight jeans.

"Often the women victims of rape experience violence through a double manifestation - explain the organizers - a first time by the executioner, a second time by the judging eyes of society with phrases such as 'he was looking for it', 'look at how he dressed', 'if he had jeans it can't be rape' ".

The clothes used during the flash mob will be donated to Ukrainian refugees.
