The International Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations (the Eurasian Peoples Association) and the Russian Belgorod State Technological University organized a round table in the Russian capital, Moscow, with the participation of Syria, under the title (Eurasian Partnership: New Protocols for Cooperation in the Countries of the Middle East and North Africa).

During a speech to the participants, Syria's Ambassador to Moscow Dr. Riad Haddad stressed that the importance of discussions on the Eurasian partnership at the present time lies in strengthening preparations for the world whose features are currently being drawn as a result of the courageous decision of the Russian Federation to stop the expansion of NATO and put an end to Western hegemony, whose features are overshadowed by the Russian military operation. Justice aimed at protecting the oppressed people of Donbass and eradicating the threat of neo-Nazism from Ukraine and the world.

Haddad pointed out that the peoples of the Middle East do not see a better alternative than partnership with Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union to establish balanced relations based on respect for others, especially after experiencing the model presented by the West of destroying countries and stealing their wealth.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Eurasian Society, Andrei Belianinov, indicated in his speech that this meeting is being held to discuss topical issues such as food security and scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, which are of particular importance in light of the Russian special military operation, which unequivocally indicates that we are facing a clear change in the world order.

Bilyaninov stressed that the task of experts today lies in applying reason and thinking about the measures to be taken and the rules that should shape the foreseeable future so that cooperation between the countries of the Middle East and North Africa on the one hand and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union on the other hand becomes a model to follow.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Natalia Bocharova explained that the ministry has adopted several initiatives related to the technology development strategy since 2016, noting that the ministry is working to increase scholarships for foreign students in Russia so that friendly countries can benefit from highly qualified cadres.

The President of Belgorod State Technological University, Sergey Glagolev, touched on the issue of strengthening scientific cooperation with Arab universities in general and Syrian universities in particular, stressing the serious desire to develop relations between the two sides.
