Since he took office, the inventory of the municipal housing association has grown by 169 apartments.

Managing Director Lothar Ortolf has now retired.

Wolfratshausen – Lothar Ortolf was in charge of the municipal housing association (StäWo) for 17 years.

Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner, city and supervisory board members and employees have now said goodbye to the managing director of the municipal GmbH as he retires.

The city brought the subsidiary into being in 1995. The main task of the StäWo is the administration of the apartments belonging to the municipality and the creation of new ones at affordable rents.

According to the councillors, a company could do this better than the city, i.e. without lengthy decision-making processes and thanks to cheaper financing options.

In the first few years, the daughter suffered from serious childhood illnesses: in 1999, Reiner Berchtold, the head of the town hall at the time, fired the head of the StäWo after violent arguments.

The former head of the building authority, Dieter Lejko, and ex-treasurer Edgar Pietschmann had to sweep up the shambles left behind by the ousted man.

Both were committed to StäWo in addition to their respective jobs - until the workload became too great and Ortolf, a full-time managing director, was hired on January 1, 2005.

The head of the town hall showed a "lucky touch" in 2005

With this personnel decision, Berchtold "showed a lucky hand", Heilinglechner stated in retrospect.

He thanked Ortolf for his commitment on behalf of the city and personally for the "pleasant cooperation".

Ortolf made no secret of the fact that “it escalated a bit”.

"But it always escalated harmoniously," put the mayor, who is also the chairman of the StäWo supervisory board, into perspective.

Social housing was important, is important and will remain important.

The GmbH has invested 28 million euros in social housing since 2005, according to the outgoing StäWo managing director.

A good ten years ago, according to him, the rental income was around 700,000 euros, this year Ortolf is expecting 2.6 million euros.

He recalled "milestones" such as the transfer of numerous plots of land from the city to the housing association in 2007. The largest project to date was the development of the so-called Coop-Wiese in the Waldram district.

Here, the StäWo 2018/2019 created 52 barrier-free apartments for tenants with low to middle incomes in one fell swoop.

Another milestone in 2020 was the founding of the service company under the umbrella of StäWo.

Daughter's daughter renovates the Wolfratshausen town hall café

As reported, the daughter's daughter has been commissioned with the general renovation and conversion of the municipal property at Untermarkt 10 as well as with the renovation of the town hall café, which will be operated in future by the tenants Michaela and Hans-Joachim Kunstmann (Kunstmann Hotel & Food GmbH). .

Heilinglechner wished Ortolf "long health" and "not too quiet a time".

However, the mayor does not fear that the passionate sailor and tennis player will be tormented by boredom from today.

Ortolf and the StäWo supervisory board ensured a seamless transition at the top of both GmbHs: Civil engineer Robert Alischer took over the management.

The Waldramer has been working for the municipal housing association for around three years.

City Hall Chief Heilinglechner told him: "Social housing was important, is important and will remain important." (cce)
