Allgäu woman drives trucks with passion: "For years now, the truck industry has not only consisted of men"
The 22-year-old native of the Allgäu drives trucks with passion.
Are there problems as a young woman in the male-dominated world of truckers?
She herself has had good experiences with it.
Ultimately, it makes no difference whether a woman or a man sits behind the wheel and does the work conscientiously.
"You'll hear a few sayings, but it's all on a fun basis.
You have to be able to counter well,” said Wojcik.
“For years now, the truck industry has not only consisted of men.
More and more women are getting behind the wheel of a truck.”

Sandra Wojcik: Even your grandfather was a truck driver – and your big role model
Even as a little girl, the woman from Waltenhofen (district of Oberallgäu) was enthusiastic about large machines.
Her grandfather also drove a truck and he was always her role model.
After graduating from school, however, Wojcik was still too young to get a truck driver's license and initially trained as a baker.
As a freshly baked baker, she was able to fulfill her dream of having very large vehicles in 2020 and began her training as a professional driver at Geiger Logistik.
"My family and friends know that I have always wanted this career and have always supported me in everything and stand behind me."
Allgäu trucker babe: New customer, new load, new task
Since then, the 22-year-old has been on the road with the big calibers: three-axle, four-axle, articulated truck and low-loader - sometimes also wheel loaders to load her trucks herself.

The biggest challenges are narrow streets and road users who underestimate a rolling, fully loaded truck.
In addition, every customer and every load entails new tasks.
"In my opinion, the best situations are when I leave the construction sites behind with satisfied customers at the end of the day.
There are dangerous situations almost every day, for example when tipping over, if the ground is not asphalt.”
