Three Asian cheetah cubs have recently emerged into the world air in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is a rare birth, which only slightly improves the tragic condition of the endangered animal in the country following droughts, poachers and fatal road accidents.
This is the first birth of a captive cheetah in Iran.
It should be noted that the Islamic Republic is one of the last countries in the world where cheetahs still live in the wild.
The Iranian news agency "Irena" reported that the veterinary staff, entrusted with the Turan National Park in the northern Samnan province, had decided on a Caesarean birth in captivity.
It was also noted that less than 20 cheetahs have recently been documented in seven different districts in the country.
Following the danger of their extinction, the UN implemented a protection program for them as early as 2001. Now, in Iran, it is hoped that the new cubs will be able to bring about an increase in the cheetah population in the future.

Last January, Iran's Deputy Minister of the Environment, Hassan Akhbari, said that the country's cheetah population had dramatically reduced from 100 cheetahs in 2010 to just 12 cheetahs.
"Their condition is extremely serious," Akbari said, noting that the cheetahs fell victim to drought in their living areas, to hunting and even to road accidents.
The cheetah is considered the fastest animal in the world capable of reaching a speed of about 100 km / h. The cheetahs can be found in various places across the globe, from India to Senegal in West Africa.
