Today, the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the Swedish ambassador in Tehran, Matas Lentz, and informed him of its strong protest against the continued detention of a former official in the Iranian judiciary.
The Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister stressed that the trial and arrest of Hamed Nouri was illegal and took place under the influence of false statements and incitement to a terrorist group, denouncing the hostile atmosphere against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister called for an end to this political trial and the release of Nouri.
