For example, if there are 24 classes or more in primary schools, the principal’s monthly salary can be raised from the current 86,000 to 98,000 yuan to 106,000 yuan. to 122,000 yuan.


The Education Bureau originally proposed to the Legislative Council in 2019 to raise wages and increase manpower, pending the approval of the Finance Committee.

The latest document mentions that it is recommended that primary schools increase the number of director-level teachers. For example, the number of director-level teachers in full-time ordinary public sector primary schools will be changed from one director-level teacher position for every three classes to one for every 3.2 teachers.

The Education Bureau stated that after the implementation of the "Hong Kong National Security Law", schools have the responsibility to strengthen national security education. Schools need to increase their efforts in values ​​education, national education, etc., and ensure that teaching staff uphold professional ethics and law-abiding, and strengthen the prevention and suppression of any violations in the school.
