The Russian authorities revealed that an act of sabotage occurred on a railway bridge in the western Kursk province at the border with Ukraine, which led to the collapse of part of the bridge.
District Governor Roman Starovit said in a recording posted on his Telegram channel, according to Russia Today: "The information has been confirmed that the incident was a sabotage operation, and therefore a lawsuit has been filed, and investigation bodies and security agencies will work to uncover the circumstances of what happened."
Earlier today, the district governor announced the collapse of a part of the bridge located in the 67th kilometer of the railway linking the cities of Sodja and Sosnovy Bor, noting that the accident did not result in casualties.
