In the middle of the night, at least two tree-fall accidents occurred in Hong Kong due to continuous rain.
At about 2 a.m., a banyan tree about 20 meters high suddenly collapsed at the bottom of the Tate's Cai Sha Street near the Tate's Cai Sha Street in Shatin, and the traffic lanes were blocked.
One of the tourist buses parked on the side of the road happened to be pinned down by a fallen tree, and other drivers found and reported the crime when they approached.
The fire department received a report and confirmed that no one was trapped or injured on the tourist bus, and then used tools such as a chainsaw to cut off the collapsed tree trunk on a lift platform.
It is understood that the affected area is 40 square meters, ranging from Niu Sha Village to the section of Niu Sha Street in Xiaoliyuan, and the entire line is temporarily closed.

In addition, around the same time, a traffic lane on New Clear Water Bay Road near St. Canaan College, heading towards Sai Kung, was also blocked by fallen trees. Fortunately, no one was injured or the vehicle was pinned down.
Firefighters came to the scene to saw down the fallen tree for cleaning.
The Transport Department announced at 03:30 a.m.: Due to fallen trees, the entire line of Pippi Sha Street (round-trip direction) near the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong has been closed.
The affected bus routes will have to be diverted.
