On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, the Indersdorf fire brigade opened the special exhibition in the Augustinian Canons Museum.
Indersdorf - The Indersdorf fire brigade has been waiting for this moment for more than two years.
Because that's how long the preparations have been going on, which have now "reached their glorious climax", as fire brigade commander Carsten Rummeling explained.
Special exhibition instead of a big party celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Indersdorf fire brigade
The Indersdorf fire brigade actually had its 150th birthday last year.
A big party was planned for 2021 to mark the 150th birthday.
Due to the pandemic, the firefighters then looked for other ways to celebrate the event properly - namely with an exhibition.
"This is the product of the fruitful cooperation between the fire brigade and the local history association," said Anton Wagatha, chairman of the local history association.
"Here, with a large number of exhibits, documents and information, the altruistic voluntary work of our fire brigade is given an appropriate framework."

The exhibition was conceived by passive firefighters Georg Mair and Jim Moser.
“We present exhibits sorted by theme,” explains Moser.
The exhibition shows, for example, protective clothing and rescue equipment over the course of time.
Many guests of honor have gathered on the forecourt of the Chorherrenmuseum to attend the opening of the exhibition and to congratulate the volunteer fire brigade.
Among them was the Bavarian Minister of Finance and Homeland, Albert Füracker.
For him, the opening of the exhibition is his "personal highlight of the week", as he emphasized in his speech.

Füracker also used his visit to Indersdorf to sign the town's golden book.
The Bavarian Minister of Finance also immortalized himself in the so-called golden logbook of the Indersdorf fire brigade.
Because Albert Füracker thinks: "The volunteer fire brigades belong to the elite in rural areas."
