A fictitious Facebook account, disguised as a young Jewish woman named "Sarah Poppy" and operated by Iran, tried to recruit Israelis to gather intelligence and hit various targets in Israel.
Among other things, the account examined whether the Israelis would be willing to harm certain personalities, Arab companies operating in Israel, and in general the LGBT community.
"Sarah Poppy" was allegedly a young Jewish woman with business and connections in Israel. After contacting the Israelis through Facebook, the connection continued to the "WhatsApp" app. The GSS claims that the activity in the account has been monitored by the service from the very beginning.
The account used to ask the Israelis for information about various personalities in Israel, asked them to gather more information and examined whether they were willing to harm these personalities.
"Sarah Poppy" pressured them to do so, "in emotional and romantic manipulations," and even offered thousands of dollars as payment.
