A large-scale search took place on Sunday (May 1) in Marienstein: a 15-year-old girl had not returned from a walk in the woods.
The incident had a happy ending.
Marienstein
- A concerned mother from Marienstein (municipality of Waakirchen) informed the police in the early evening hours on Sunday (May 1) that she was missing her 15-year-old daughter.
She had gone for a walk with the dog and actually wanted to be back home after a short time.
However, since this was still not the case after about two and a half hours, the mother made the emergency call.
Neighbors and family friends are joining the search
In the following two hours, several police patrols, including two dog handlers and the Edelweiß police helicopter, searched for the 15-year-old.
As reported by the Bad Wiessee inspection, the DLRG and the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK), which organized a mobile operations center, were also involved in the campaign.
The police also emphasized the "great commitment" of the neighbors and friends of the family in their report.
Within a very short time, many people had gathered on site who wanted to look for the girl.
Hunter brings girl home unharmed
After about two hours of searching, the news came: the girl, who had apparently lost her way, ran into a hunter in the woods near Marienstein.
He brought the 15-year-old and her dog back to her family unharmed.
