An important international achievement achieved by the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in its first participation in the StemCo International Competition for Chemistry, organized remotely by Singapore on the twenty-fourth of last April, with the participation of 48 contestants representing 11 European and Asian countries.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority said in a statement, which SANA received a copy of this evening, that the Syrian participation culminated in a variety of gold, silver and bronze medals achieved by the nine members who represented the national team for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for Chemistry, after obtaining the first nine places in the last selection tests for the World Chemistry Team for 2022.

The commission explained that the Syrian medals were achieved in the competition, which was held in two levels: the first level "third secondary grade", where the gold medal was won by the student Ahmed Ezz Al-Din from the National Center for Excellence, while the silver medal was won by the student Salman Darwish from the First Outstanding School in Homs and the student Muhammad Hatem Ali from Ghassan Mustafa School in Tartous, while the bronze medal was won by the student Hamza Masoud from the National Center for Excellence.

With regard to the second level “secondary secondary school”, the gold medal was won by Ghadeer Mualla from the National Center for the Distinguished, Muhammad Ghazal Hamida from Al-Basel School for Outstanding Students in Aleppo and Salama Omran from Al-Basel School for Outstanding Students in Homs, while the silver medal was won by Sidra Mahfoud from Ayham Hassan Battous School And the student Abdul Qader Al-Hussein from the School of Excellence in Aleppo.
