Three senior police officials told NBC in New York that the fight broke out after Stanford dropped a prize from the arcade near the suspect and several children who appeared to be with him.

A fight ensued between the two, and the suspect could be seen hitting Stanford in the chest with an object in his hand before fleeing the scene.
Jesse Armstrong, 41, was arrested Sunday and charged with murder in the deadly altercation.
