Munich – The 7-day incidence in Freistaat is on the decline.
For Monday (May 2), the RKI reported a value of 631.4.
However, it should be noted that the Bavarian health authorities no longer have to report current corona numbers to the State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL) on weekends and public holidays.
Accordingly, the LGL no longer reports infection numbers to the RKI, but only on the following working day.
The RKI emphasizes: "Daily fluctuations should therefore not be overestimated - especially at the weekend and at the beginning of the week."
Corona in Bavaria: New easing in daycare centers and schools on Monday
In the most recent cabinet meeting around Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU), the 16th Infection Protection Measures Ordinance was extended until May 28th.

In daycare centers and schools, however, it was agreed to relax.
These have been in effect since Sunday (May 1st).
According to a statement from the state government, schools will no longer be required to take tests from Monday (May 2nd).
“This applies to regular, unprovoked testing as well as to school testing in the event of an infection.
The visit is possible again without restrictions.”
There is no compulsory corona test in Bavaria's schools.

Likewise, the test requirements in childcare are no longer applicable with immediate effect.
If a child tests positive for the corona virus, it must remain at home - it is not allowed to go to daycare or school for several days.
In this case, the obligation to isolate still applies in Bavaria.
After five days, the isolation can be ended without free testing if no typical corona symptoms have occurred 48 hours before.
The Bavarian Ministry of Health recommends wearing a mask for five days after the end of isolation.
Holetschek on Corona: Good experiences in Bavaria with shortened isolation
According to its Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU), Bavaria has had “very good” experiences with the isolation time for corona infected people being reduced to five days.
The incidence is falling, the situation in the hospitals is relaxed, said the CSU politician on Monday in the ZDF “Morgenmagazin”.
In Bavaria, the rule has been in effect since mid-April.
The Free State had also decided against the obligation to test free after five days.
Holetschek pointed out that you have to be symptom-free 48 hours before the end of the isolation.
However, Bavaria recommends wearing a mask for a while afterwards.
In the case of vulnerable groups, however, it remains a free test.
