Duck family waddles across the A6 – the police temporarily block the highway

A mother duck ran with her nine chicks on the A6 near Nuremberg.
The police closed the highway without further ado to help the animals.
Nuremberg – A family of ducks caused the A6 near Nuremberg to be temporarily blocked.
The mother duck and her nine chicks waddled across the road towards Heilbronn near the Langwasser junction.
She stopped at the central barrier, the police said on Monday.

Traffic police officers closed the highway for 20 minutes and took the animals to safety.
The incident happened on Saturday morning when there was little traffic on the highway, a police spokesman said.
Therefore, there were no major traffic jams or traffic delays.

The officials also reported on the case on Twitter – much to the amusement of one user: “Came to a standstill at the central guard rail,” he quotes from the tweet and jokes: “All fuel or not enough horsepower?”
There were compliments for the officials: "Big praise to the police officers, something like that is not a matter of course!" And another commentator concludes: "Duck good, all good." (came)
