The Izz ad-Din al-Qassem Brigades of Hamas' military wing today (Monday) officially claimed responsibility for the shooting attack in Ariel on Friday, in which security guard Vyacheslav (Daniel) Golev was killed.
Hamas announced that the attack was only part of a chain of reactions following the "aggression on the Temple Mount."
Over the weekend, the two terrorists who carried out the attack in Ariel were arrested.
The perpetrators are 19-year-old Yahya Marai and 20-year-old Yussef Assi, both residents of the nearby village of Karvat Ein Hassan.
The two had already been arrested last year by security forces.
Assi, who is affiliated with Hamas, was also charged with incitement and was previously imprisoned.

"At the end of intensive intelligence and operational activities by the GSS, the IDF and the Israel Defense Forces, the two main suspects involved in the shooting attack were arrested this evening," the security forces said in a joint statement. Shin Bet.
The two were captured in the Palestinian village of Karavat Bnei Hassan, located northwest of Ariel.
They were arrested along with their weapons in two different houses in the village, and one of them was identified as a Hamas operative.
There is no family connection between them, and at this stage there is a suspicion of a local organization.
Marai's father is reportedly a released prisoner, who was accompanied by Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin in prison, and was detained for many years due to his ties to Yahya Ayash.
According to the mayor of Karvat Bnei Hassan, Marai's father was arrested and so was' Assi's father.
Two more brothers of Marai were asked to turn themselves in.
