(ANSA) - MILAN, 02 MAY - A hacker attack hit the hospitals and territorial units of the Asst Fatebenefratelli Sacco, or the hospital company, on May 1st.
From the Lombardy Region they explain that given the extent of the attack it is not known when the systems will be restored.
Consequently today and tomorrow the emergency rooms and the sampling points of the Asst Fatebenefratelli Sacco hospitals (Fatebenefratelli, Sacco, Buzzi and Melloni) will be able to accept patient access in a limited manner and only through paper forms and there may be inconvenience for outpatient services.
"The booked outpatient visits and pre-hospitalization activities are in any case guaranteed" assure the Region.
The hacker attack on the servers of the Fatebenefratelli eSacco sites had consequences on all company offices (Buzzi, Melloni and 33 local offices) and on all company systems, also attacking basic services "despite the increase in the security measures put in place in the last months".
The restoration work has begun but "at the moment does not have a definable time".
The technicians of the regional IT security services and the postal police are also on site.
Certainly, explains the note from Asst, "a formal complaint will be presented".
The Emergency Emergency Company has been informed of the problems and has "already taken steps to divert all emergencies to other Milanese hospitals".
