In Nice, on April 24, 2022, a 31-year-old man suspected of having injured a priest and a nun with a knife was placed in a psychiatric hospital at the end of his police custody.
Two months earlier, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), a 22-year-old young woman was raped in the early morning in the middle of the street after being followed on the RER A train. There too, the alleged perpetrator was sent to psychiatric hospital after his custody.
Another example last February in Arpajon (Essonne): a 26-year-old man was hospitalized after having stabbed an individual in the heart.
