Nicaragua's President Daniel Ortega confirmed that Russia is fighting the Nazis in Ukraine backed by Washington and the European Union, recalling the Nazis' murder of 40 workers burning in Odessa in 2014 for their opposition to the coup.
"Russia is fighting the Nazis in Ukraine who came to power after a brutal coup in 2014, which reminds us of the attempts to change power in Nicaragua and Venezuela," local media quoted Ortega as saying in a speech on the occasion of May Day yesterday.
He added, "The world is shaken by war, and we will not turn a blind eye to it... Russia is fighting for its security against the Nazis who ruled and committed criminal acts in Ukraine after the 2014 coup."
With regard to Labor Day, Ortega considered that it was Russia that, for the first time in human history, brought workers and peasants to power and defeated Nazism in the decisive battle for humanity.
