Serious traffic accident with a motorcyclist: 81-year-old crashed into a tree near Ettal

The 81-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in his accident and was flown to the hospital in Murnau by helicopter.

Ettal - On April 29, 2022 at around 2:50 p.m., an 81-year-old from Feldafinger was driving his BMW motorcycle on the state road 2060 from Linderhof in the direction of Austria when he left the road about 3 km before the state border in a long left turn to the right and went against it hit a tree.

The motorcyclist was flown to the hospital in Murnau by helicopter with serious injuries.

The volunteer fire brigade Ettal secured the scene of the accident during the rescue work.

The Oberammergau police station took up the investigation, but according to the current status could not determine any third-party fault.

The motorcycle involved in the accident had to be towed away, resulting in a total loss.

There was property damage of around 10,000 euros.
