More than 60 families turned garages, driveways and carports into junk stands in Ottenhofen on Saturday.
The first village flea market was a successful event.
Ottenhofen
– The first village flea market in Ottenhofen was such a success on Saturday that the organizers Sara Baumgart and Barbara Greckl are pretty sure that there will be a new edition.
More than 60 families in the core town took part.
People moved from stand to garage, from courtyard to carport, where the vendors had set up the entire flea market program.
Greckl was enthusiastic about this encouragement.
She reported that this arose from a WhatsApp group.
"I've had the idea for years," she said, but also admitted: "The fact that you then really say: 'So, now let's tackle it', that's an overcoming." And it happened to her , like many with such plans: "Then you hear 'yes, good idea, but...' But then we noticed that Sara had the idea too." In addition, as is well known, numerous people have used the lockdowns in the past two years to sort out at home.
The flea market was well stocked," Greckl was able to announce.
With the fishing friends and as well as gardening and homeland friends, it was possible to organize a kind of headquarters on the Maibaumplatz.
There was a plant exchange.
The refugees from Ukraine were also represented with a stand, and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief was given the opportunity to bang the drum.
Now she wants to wait for feedback from the providers, said Greckl, but the encouragement is encouraging: "If that goes down well, then we intend to keep it" - about once a year, as other communities already do.
Perhaps, according to Greckl, the organization team could be enlarged.
The appealing poster designed by Sandra Mayr should remain.
