(ANSA) - TURIN, 02 MAY - The nine-month sentence of the former mayor of Turin Chiara Appendino was requested by the public prosecutor at the Ream appeal process.
In the first instance, in September 2020, Appendino was sentenced to six months for an accusation of false ideology relating to 2016; councilor Sergio Rolando was inflicted six months, then head of cabinet Paolo Giordana eight months.
The case concerns the non-inclusion in the financial statements of a debt of 5 million contracted by the Municipality towards the company Ream.
