"Songs in their memory in the Knesset" ceremony in the presence of the Prime Minister and the President of the State Israel today

The main national memorial event "Songs in their memory in the Knesset" will be held today (Tuesday) on the eve of Memorial Day for the victims of the Israeli military and the victims of hostilities in the Chagall Lounge in the Knesset. 

The ceremony will be attended by Knesset Speaker MK Miki Levy, President Yitzhak Herzog, Prime Minister MK Naftali Bennett, Defense Minister MK Bnei Gantz, Minister of Welfare and Social Security Meir Cohen, Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi , GSS Chief Ronen Bar, Mossad Chief David Barnea, Police Commissioner Ranatz Yaakov Shabtai and IPS Commissioner Rabbi Gondar Kati Perry, MKs, ministers and bereaved families.

The event is a joint initiative of the Knesset, the Commemoration and Heritage Division of the Ministry of Defense and the Division for Victims of Hostilities at the National Insurance Institute. 

At the beginning of the event, Knesset Speaker Miki Levy, President Yitzhak Herzog, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, their spouses and Supreme Court President Esther Hayut and her partner will stand in front of the wall of the names of the fallen in the Knesset plaza. The spaces will tell the stories of the fallen, some of them about the Ricky of the song "The Haunted." 

Singer Rami Kleinstein will open the event with a song "Young Forever" from the Knesset entrance plaza.

He will be accompanied by a military band, a Yad Labanim choir, representatives of the police and the defense establishment, and more.

Ella-Li and a military band will perform "They Can" from the Mishkan space.

The bereaved sister Moriah Yahalomi, 7, will sing "Tears Flow by Themselves."

Zehava Ben will dedicate to 6-year-old Barry, who lost his late mother Orly Liron, "Mother's Hero". Gali Atari will perform "I Have No Other Country" on stage without an accompaniment. , Ili Butner and the Foreign Children "Child and Father and Mother", Shai Avrahamson direct "Peri Ganach", Natan Goshen "We will wait for you" and Avraham Tal "Broken Heart".
