The Scheherazade Artistic Dance Troupe presented a dance performance entitled “Mahr Al-Asayel” at the Palace of Culture in Sweida, as part of the activities of the third day of the International Dance Day celebration, which is held by the Directorate of Theaters, Music and National Theater in the governorate in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture.
The show (Mahr Al-Asayel) was based on the historical document prepared by the researcher Kamal Al-Khoufi, written and directed by the artist Maan Dwaier, and the choreographer's design by the artist Mazen Al-Hakim.
The celebration activities, which started on the first of this month, included a dance performance by Hakaya expressive dance troupe entitled “The Martyr” and another show entitled “The Narcissist” presented by the Friends of Modern Dance Troupe, and a third show entitled “Colors” by the Apollo Ballet Troupe.
Director of the National Theater in Sweida, director Rifaat Al-Hadi, said in a statement to SANA that this artistic dance event is the first of its kind organized by the Ministry of Culture.
The concept of dance, which achieved a qualitative leap on the intellectual level, and was not just movements, as the artistic dance performances carried deep human ideas.
Al-Hadi noted the remarkable public attendance of this demonstration and the great interaction with the presentations that were presented over three days, stressing the quest to reach everything that is more distinguished, accurate and professional.
