There has been an increase in accidents on highways in recent days.

Hanover – Serious accident on Tuesday morning, May 3, 2022, on the A7 near Hanover.

The driver of a pickup truck crashes into a truck in front of him for reasons that are not yet clear.

Just a few days ago, similar accidents occurred on the A261 and on the A1.

On April 27, 2022, a truck drove into a traffic jam on the A261, apparently without braking.

The driver died on the spot.

Just hours later, an almost identical accident occurred on the A1.

The driver of a truck also missed the end of a traffic jam on April 28, 2022.

The driver on the A1 also died on the spot.

In the accident on Tuesday morning at the Hanover-Wülferode West service area, the driver was injured in the rear-end collision.

He was transported to a hospital shortly afterwards.

A rescue helicopter was also deployed.

The A7 had to be closed to the south for the rescue and clean-up work.

However, it is not yet known exactly how the accident happened.

The police have launched an investigation into the course of the accident.

Due to the closure, a significant backlog formed in the morning rush hour.
