Less than four months after the judgment of the Versailles Court of Appeal which spared him prison in the driving license trafficking case, Patrick Antonelli is still caught in the meshes of the judicial net.

This Tuesday, the singer's companion Amel Bent was imprisoned in the Nanterre remand center (Hauts-de-Seine), to serve a fifteen-month prison sentence pronounced on March 8 by the Nanterre criminal court.

The judges condemned him for having illegally exercised the profession of security guard because he replaced one day, at short notice, a bodyguard of the singer.

For judgment fraud because he presented an invoice when he was not licensed to practice.

And simply for fraud because he benefited from state aid paid to compensate for the drop in activity during the Covid when he was not entitled to it.

Incarceration postponed due to singer giving birth

When they sentenced him on March 8, the judges did not issue a warrant of committal which would have put him behind bars immediately, but a deferred warrant of committal, a measure which allows the convicted person to organize himself before to be incarcerated.

But this deferred deposit mandate was pronounced with provisional execution, which implies that in the event of an appeal, you still have to go through the prison box.

This is why Patrick Antonelli knocked on the door of the remand center, even if he appealed as soon as the judgment was pronounced in March.

In July 2020, in the case of the traffic in permits sold to football and media stars, with the complicity of agents from the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture, the Nanterre criminal court had also opted for the mandate of deferred deposit.

But without provisional execution.

Also, as Patrick Antonelli had appealed, he had not gone to prison.

This is obviously what the court wanted to avoid this time, to force him to make a short stay behind bars.

He is already asking for his release.

The former driving school manager, who became a sports coach, should have been imprisoned last month.

But the prosecution agreed to postpone his detention because Amel Bent had to give birth.

Then when the baby had to be hospitalized for a few days.

If he had not appeared at the prison on Tuesday, the prosecution would have sent the police to handcuff him.
