Ancient McDonald's relic in the wall surprises couple: "We thought about calling the police"

The find sounds as if it were almost something for cultural scientists.

But the woman and the man who made it were initially terrified.

Crystal Lake/Illinois - Anyone remember the McDonald's burger that caused a stir in 2020?

A special example of meat rolls because it was said to be 24 years old.

It didn't look bad for that.

The fries are now available to go with it.

The US broadcaster CNN came across the story.

They heard about Rob and Gracie Jones, who are renovating their home in Crystal Lake, about 50 miles from Chicago.

While working, they found a McDonald's bag.

When they found it, they initially thought of something completely different: the traces of a crime!

It may be because they found the McDonald's bag stuck in the wall.

"Rob unscrewed the old toilet roll holder," CNN quotes his wife Gracie as saying.

The packaged McDonald's menu emerged.

"We first thought about calling the police," she said.

Instead, they opened the bag "very carefully" in their kitchen.

Two hamburgers and a portion of fries, some of which had already been eaten, appeared.

They would have looked "very crispy".

The house that the two are currently renovating was built in 1959, according to the report.

The US fast food chain McDonald's was founded in 1940. If you look at the company logo in the photo above, you'll notice that it's not up to date.

The report assumes that the fries from the wall are decades old.

CNN is even guessing the 1950s.

Incidentally, McDonald's 2020 published an official press release on the allegedly 24-year-old hamburger from their home.

It said: "In the usual environment, our burgers will decompose like most other foods." However: "If the humidity is too low - either in the product itself or in the environment around it - bacteria or mold will not multiply and therefore decay becomes less likely.”

The US chain insisted in the statement that this phenomenon also affects home-made hamburgers.
