The finale of this year's Fraunberg citizens' assemblies: After Fraunberg and Reichenkirchen, the program now included the former independent community area of Maria Thalheim in the Gasthaus Strasser in Oberbierbach.
In the third meeting, too, topics such as sewage, flooding, etcetera, were hotly debated.
Oberbierbach/Maria Thalheim – The abandonment of the sewage treatment plant with the future connection to the AZV Erdinger Moos triggered discussions.
The Thalheim waste water is currently being pumped to Fraunberg.
Local veteran Willi Auer asked: “What will our mixed sewer system look like in the future, which many people in Thalheim still have?
That's three times the amount running." Mayor Hans Wiesmaier replied: "We are currently still separating via storage sewers, but the water management office will come to switch to a uniform sewer system in Maria Thalheim.
The affected households must adapt to this.
Hans Lex, ex-municipal councilor, wanted to know: “Are fees or improvement contributions billed, and who decides that?
"The municipal council," says Wiesmaier.
"And what about when the AZV invests in the future?
Are we part of it, aren't we?" asked Lex. Wiesmaier: "We're buying into the AZV for 1.6 million, that's why we're also paying for all future improvements." Sepp Obermeier suggested that the resulting gases should be sensibly used in the sewage treatment plant use and exploit.
"That's not possible for us," said Wiesmaier.
The people of Thalheim were happier when it came to water supply due to the future merger with the Holzland special-purpose association.
According to Wiesmaier, this brings several advantages: "A significant increase in security of supply, especially in the event of a disaster or crisis, and synergies through joint operational management".
The water supply will be increased for the future, but will remain in municipal hands.
Sepp Angermaier from Hainthal railed against expensive concrete walls for flood protection.
For this he praised the forecast example of the flood recording in Kleinthalheim.
"People with expertise were at work on the flagship project, and it turned out to be a clean affair," he said.
The same is true for the ditches from Riding to Baumberg and in Thalheim and doesn't cost the earth, Angermaier suggested, for which he received applause.
Wiesmaier promised: "In the endangered areas we try to relieve the upper residents and to relieve the lower residents even more." Auer also said: "It would make sense if the experts talked to the residents beforehand."
A successful model is the elementary school with open all-day schools.
"We currently have 60 students in four groups, soon we will even need a fifth group for lunchtime supervision," says Wiesmaier.
They are also active in climate protection.
“The school building will be equipped with an environmentally friendly pellet heating system.
We have invested a total of 1.68 million euros in modern ventilation systems in the Fraunberg children's home, the Reichenkirchen school and the Maria Thalheim gymnasium," reported the mayor.
To save energy, 90,000 euros will soon be spent on new street lamps.
