The fifth wave of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Hong Kong has eased, but there are still confirmed cases in various districts.
The latest announcement on mandatory testing by the Food and Health Bureau shows that 40 new buildings have been added to the list today (3rd), of which public housing accounts for up to 19 buildings.
There are 14 private housing estates on the list, involving luxury houses such as 2 Garden Terraces at Old Peak Road in Mid-Levels, 12 Lai Lai Plaza in Hung Hom and 2 Wanchai Terrace II in middle-class housing estates.
In addition, four buildings in Yuen Long, Shatin and North District were also included in the mandatory inspection announcement, the most among the 18 districts.
Buildings on the list include 2 Grand Yoho in Yuen Long, 5 Huangfushan in Sheung Shui, and Shun Wo House in Wo Che Estate, Shatin.
The announcement states that anyone who has been in the buildings for more than two hours from April 27 to May 3 must be sampled for nucleic acid testing tomorrow or the day after (4 or 5).

The authorities said that 40 more buildings were added to the mandatory testing list today due to the presence of preliminary positive or positive test cases.
In the west of the New Territories, Yuen Long District accounted for the largest number of buildings on the list, including 2 Grand Yoho, Ping Yan Court Ping Tai Court, and 5 King Wu Residences at Kingswood Villas in Tin Shui Wai.
In Tsuen Wan District and Tuen Mun District, three buildings were also included in the mandatory inspection announcement. Tsuen Wan District involved Block S of Luyang New Village and Block 3 of Belvedere Garden Phase 2, etc.; while Tuen Mun District included Block 13 of Yuehu Villa and Wujing Village Hucui Building, etc.

In the east of the New Territories, there are also four buildings in Shatin and North District. Shatin District involves Sung Sum Building, Lung Hang Estate, Tai Wai, Long Chuen Building, Shui Chuen O Estate, and Shanlin Court, Honglin Court; while Fanling is located in North District. Xianghe Building in Cheung Wah Village and Tin Ming Building in Tin Ping Village, Sheung Shui, etc.
In addition, three buildings in Sai Kung have also been included in the mandatory inspection list, all of which are located in Tseung Kwan O, namely Sheung Tak Estate Sheung Ming House, Chung Ming Court Kwan Ming House and King Lam Estate King Yung House.
