After the cross-sea section of the East Rail is opened to traffic, East Rail passengers do not need to change trains, and can reach the Convention and Exhibition and Admiralty Station by "sit to the end". It only takes about 13 minutes from Kowloon Tong to Admiralty Station, which is 4 minutes faster than the current time. After the East Rail Line is extended across the sea, the whole line will be about 46 kilometers long, with 16 stations and 4 interchange stations (Tai Wai, Kowloon Tong, Hung Hom and Admiralty Stations), which can connect 5 existing MTR lines Railway lines, including Tuen Ma Line, Kwun Tong Line, Hong Kong Island Line, Tsuen Wan Line and South Island Line.

Passengers on the East Rail Line can now transfer to the Kwun Tong Line at Kowloon Tong Station, and then transfer to the Tsuen Wan Line at Mong Kok to Admiralty. According to the MTR "MTR Mobile" app, the journey takes about 17 minutes, and a total of two transfers are required. It takes about 5 minutes to travel between East Rail Line and Kwun Tong Line Kowloon Tong Station, and if you transfer trains at Mong Kok Station, you only need to walk across the opposite platform.

Passengers on the Tuen Ma Line can take the East Rail Crossing after landing on the first floor of Hung Hom Station

As for Tuen Ma Line passengers, passengers from Ma On Shan to Tai Wai may consider transferring to East Rail at Tai Wai Station to cross the harbour, or, like other Tuen Ma Line passengers, transfer trains at Hung Hom Station.

After the cross-sea section of the East Rail Line is opened to traffic, the new East Rail Line platform at the lower level of the existing Tuen Ma Line platform will also be officially opened. Passengers on the Tuen Ma Line only need to take the elevator down one floor and then transfer to the East Rail Line. Hai, the current East Rail Line platform will be closed.

Admiralty Station is a super station for four-line interchange, and the extension of Admiralty Station will also be open to passengers.

According to the brochure of Admiralty Station, there are 4 extra-long escalators in the extension, which are directly connected to each floor from the transfer hall or the East Rail Line platform. The escalator goes straight to the current Admiralty Station lobby.
