Gruesome find on the Elbe: A walker discovered a woman's body in Hamburg-Ochsenwerder.

The identity of the dead is still unclear.

Hamburg – Large-scale operation for the Hamburg police in Oortkaten, a district of the Hamburg district of Ochsenwerder on the outskirts of the city: A walker who was walking her dogs there on Saturday evening, April 30, 2022, found the body of a woman shortly after 8 p.m discovered on the Elbe.

After the walker had immediately called the police, they moved out, as did the Hamburg fire brigade.

Body found in Hamburg-Ochsenwerder: identity and cause of death of the woman are still unclear

The police and fire brigade were deployed with patrol cars, fire engines and rescue boats, and an emergency doctor was also flown in with a rescue helicopter.

According to the police, the woman's body was taken to the Institute for Forensic Medicine in Hamburg.

In addition to the cause of the woman's death, her identity should also be clarified there – after the find, this is still unclear.

After a walker discovered a dead woman on the Elbe, the police and fire brigade arrived.

The dead person was found by the walker on the Gauerter main dike.

She was lying with her upper body in the Elbe.

After the grisly find, the walker had to be treated on site by the rescue workers and a crisis intervention team because she had suffered a shock.

The police officers meanwhile took care of the dogs of the walker.

Police investigations are continuing.
