About a year after setting himself on fire in front of the offices of the Ministry of Defense's Rehabilitation Department in Petah Tikva, battle shocker Itzik Saidian today (Tuesday) addressed the significance of Remembrance Day for him.
"It's a tough day and we do not need a special day to remember our friends. We remember them all year," he said on the "Agenda" program with the Neubach Foundation here in B.C.
"In a little while, Remembrance Day. What is Remembrance Day for me? For me, Israeliness is more than anything. Because we all end up strengthening each other in this sadness," Saidian added.
"I want to say that I share the grief of the bereaved families and turn to my wounded and wounded friends in the IDF.
I recommend not overloading yourself on this day.
Choose to be more with close friends, with family, go to the sea to breathe air, see sunset, surf, "he added. Saidian also referred to the support he receives from their people Israel and said" Thank you for strengthening me in my rehabilitation.
Strengthens, embraces and loves you. "

Itzik Saidian is suffering from post-trauma following his service as a fighter in the 13th Golani Regiment.
He was also involved in the ADF disaster in Operation Eitan, which led to the deaths of 13 fighters in the Sajaiya neighborhood, including Oron Shaul who was abducted and declared an IDF casualty.
In January, three months after regaining consciousness, Saidian left his room for the first time in a special chair and went out into the open air - at his request.
